Epiphone Zakk Wylde Les Paul Custom

Ahhh, my Cadillac. I just bought this Epiphone Zakk Wylde Model in about August of '04. I was all over this once I saw it at Guitar Center. Apparently a guy bought this, was short on his rent one month and had to sell it back. Once I saw it I pounced. This has been my dream guitar for years and it was such a great thing I saw it that day. It is truly gorgeous, the guy must have loved her. I got an incredible deal on this from the guys over at Guitar Center who seem to love me. I feel bad for the guy who had to get rid of her, but oh well. He can visit :o). Someday I hope to be able to afford the Gibson model, but $4,000 is a lot.

This guitar is a bit different having played a Jackson V most of the time as an electric. It is much heavier, and a lot different feel. The neck is much thicker that the Jackson and takes some getting used to. It is unfinished, which is really cool, natural, and smooth. I'm very impressed with this Epiphone though. The neck pickup has an awesome bluesy deep tone. The bridge pickup seems to be quieter than the neck which is a little odd. I plan on replacing that one with either Zakk's model or an EMG-81, which I have on the Jackson. Otherwise very nice for my first Les Paul.
